Svendborg er en dansk havne- og søfartsby på det sydlige Fyn. Med 27.594 indbyggere (2023) er det Fyns næststørste by efter Odense. Svendborg er hovedby i Svendborg Kommune og hører til Region Syddanmark. Svendborg er en gammel købstad og har selv i moderne tid bevaret sin ældre bykerne med smalle gader, torve og gårdmiljøer. Byen blev grundlagt i 1200-tallet og fejrede i 2003 sin 750-års fødselsdag.
