In Ohio, students looking to earn a GED diploma can take the four GED subtests online or at an official Ohio GED test center. Get a GED Diploma quickly. It doesn’t matter when you left school. To take the exams, students must register at hiset.org or GED.com. Ohio is offering two options for high school equivalency testing: the GED and HiSET exams.
The GED includes four subtests, while the HiSET comes with five subtests. So, Ohio offers two alternative options to earn your HSE Diploma: the GED, which is entirely computer-based, and the HiSET, which can be taken on a computer or on paper. What are the Ohio GED testing requirements?
Reminder: All test takers for the GED® or HiSET must be an Ohio Resident. Before you schedule your HSE test date, you must apply first, schedule, include the voucher code, and pay for the test. Voucher codes are available for first time test takers only. The voucher code must be used for the first subtest only (GED and HiSET).
In Ohio, the GED test costs $144.00 for the entire test (or $36 per individual sub-exam) when taken at an Ohio test facility or online. For first-time testers, Ohio offers vouchers of up to $80. To qualify for this, students must contact a Career-Technical Planning District (CTPD) prior to scheduling or paying for their GED test.
